I am a mixed media artist whose work in several series focuses on either the sensuality of the medium or cognitive conceptual art as its inspiration.  I have 40 years of experience learning about different mediums, supports, and techniques both formally through workshops and classes as well as through experimentation and preparation for teaching.  I have always been environmentally pro-active and was fortunate to grow up camping and hiking on a regular basis. Because of this, I regularly utilize throw-away, and discarded materials as well as found natural ones.  Recently, I retired after 30 years of teaching art (K-12 including International Baccalaureate Level) at the Schenectady City School District, NY and relocated back to my birthplace in the Catskills in an 1826 brick house with a large barn/studio structure surrounded by woods and fields. I've begun a new area arts initiative: Arts Around Greenville and we're having our first Arts Around Greenville Studio Tour on July 23-24 from 11-5!  Details are at www.cpog.org.
